Altman warned of terrible times and hidden powerful OpenAI models

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman made what I’m not afraid to call a stunning statement at the Wisdom 2.0 conference. Which should make us think and perhaps reconsider our understanding of the current state of artificial intelligence. Here’s the phrase from OpenAI’s CEO that was said, I quote – “Terrible times are coming!”. How do you like such a revelation?

No less significant sensation was the open admission of a strategy that many only suspected, again I quote Sam Altman. “OpenAI deliberately releases not the strongest of their models, so that people have time to adapt and get used to it”. Supposedly in the company’s laboratories there already exist artificial intelligence systems significantly surpassing in capabilities everything that is publicly available. Essentially, Altman admitted that humanity is now being shown only a “training version” of artificial intelligence, a kind of preparatory phase before the real technological breakthrough.

And also Sam Altman emphasized that the world should, I quote, “prepare with all its might for the huge impact of artificial intelligence”. Which can sound simultaneously like a warning and like a call to action.

Ironically, these words were spoken at the Wisdom 2.0 conference, which is dedicated to solving the great task of our time. How to live in a world connected by technologies in such a way that it promotes our well-being, effective work and brings benefit to the world.
