Amazon introduced Kiro development environment with AI agents

Amazon company introduced Kiro. A fundamentally new development environment with integrated AI agents. Changing the very philosophy of software product creation.

The main feature of Kiro, radically distinguishing it from other market solutions – generation of complete project documentation before starting coding. You simply formulate a general request. And the neural network itself forms detailed product requirements, technical specifications and a structured task list.

After studying the proposed documents and making necessary corrections, you activate the AI agents. Which take over the main work. Notably, they remember the entire project context and automatically update documentation, including README files, when code changes. So goodbye, outdated descriptions and inconsistencies!

Kiro’s special value is that the environment follows a thoughtful development process. Allowing sequential transformation of initial prototypes into full-fledged working products. The solution’s foundation is a powerful agent based on Claude Sonnet, which receives a task, generates a solution plan, breaks it into subtasks, writes code and documentation. Link in description.

What’s especially pleasant – the integrated development environment is available completely free for Windows, Mac OS and Linux users. The new era of “vibe coding” has already arrived!
