Anthropic CEO predicted 20% unemployment growth due to AI in 5 years

Anthropic company CEO Dario Amodei made an almost sensational statement in an interview with Axios publication. According to his forecasts, artificial intelligence will lead to unemployment growth of 10-20% already in the next 5 years. And Amodei calls for an honest conversation about the impact of modern technologies on the labor market.

According to him, companies developing artificial intelligence and government structures should stop downplaying the scale of upcoming changes and openly tell people about what awaits such spheres as technology, finance and consulting.

Amodei’s quote sounds particularly alarming: “Half of white-collar jobs will be replaced by artificial intelligence in the next 5 years, and we are not ready for this.” It’s noteworthy that such a statement was made right after the loud release of the new Claude 4 language model, which demonstrates even more advanced capabilities in solving tasks traditionally performed by highly qualified specialists.

It seems to me this creates an interesting contrast. On one hand, the company actively develops technologies that, according to its own leader, can lead to serious social consequences. And on the other – calls for open discussion about society’s readiness for such changes.

Artificial intelligence detects ADHD without questionnaires and doctors

Imagine you could diagnose ADHD simply by how your brain processes flickering letters on a screen. No questionnaires, no months of waiting for an appointment with a specialist. AI looks at your visual rhythms and gives a verdict with 92% accuracy. Sounds like science fiction? But this is already reality.
