The director of FigureAI company presented a new video demonstrating the capabilities of the Figure 2.0 robot, and the results are impressive. Footage, presumably shot at the BMW production site where the company’s humanoid robots have been undergoing “internship” in real conditions since last year, demonstrates a stunning level of autonomy and precision.

In the video, the humanoid independently scans, processes and sorts packages of various sizes without any human intervention. Particularly impressive is the lightning-fast decision-making speed and extraordinary smoothness of the robot’s movements. It practically makes no pauses between operations, which dramatically increases productivity.

Special attention deserves the delicacy of object manipulations. The robot’s hands work with such precision and care that were previously considered unattainable for mechanical systems. This demonstration clearly shows how far robotics technologies combined with artificial intelligence have advanced.

An interesting detail: the video appeared just an hour after one of the skeptical commentators told the startup’s creator that “this will NEVER work with an arbitrary batch of packages”. The visual response to critics turned out to be more eloquent than any words and once again confirmed the technology’s potential for transforming production processes.
