Mistral AI introduced Magistral — the first model in their arsenal specializing in deep reasoning and combining powerful logical processing with transparency of the thinking process.

The new model supports 8 languages, including Russian! Magistral is released in 2 variants. Publicly available Magistral Small with 24 billion parameters, available as open source, and corporate solution Magistral Medium for business applications.

The peculiarity of Magistral lies in its architectural approach to information processing. The model literally “thinks”, breaking down complex problems into a sequence of logical steps. And Flash Answers technology accelerates answer generation by 10 times compared to competitors, according to their claims.

Testing results are particularly impressive. Magistral Medium achieved 73.6% accuracy on the most complex AIME tasks, demonstrating exceptional performance in physical simulations and mathematical calculations.

You can try Magistral’s capabilities through the Le Chat interface.
