xAI company started monitoring its employees directly on their personal computers! Employees who train the artificial intelligence Grok from their devices were required to install tracking programs.

They take screenshots of the screen and track which applications and websites you use. According to Business Insider, many AI trainers work exactly with personal equipment. At the same time, the company stated that corporate Chromebooks ran out, and when new ones will appear – is unclear.

xAI assures that it will use the system only during working hours and exclusively for tracking work activity. And the collected data plans to be considered when evaluating employee performance. The company’s HR department explained that this will help “streamline work processes” and “better understand daily activity” of bot trainers.

Some employees became concerned about privacy of personal data. Part of them even said they were ready to quit. Calling what’s happening “surveillance under the guise of productivity” and “manipulation under the guise of corporate culture”.

To the worried ones, the company offered either to buy a separate computer for work, using $50 per month from the firm, or create 2 profiles in the system – work and personal.

That is, Elon Musk, one of the richest people in the world with a fortune of $248 billion USA, cannot buy work computers for his employees. Very strange.
