NVIDIA head called AI “the great equalizer” in computing

Jensen Huang, NVIDIA founder, made a bold statement at the London Tech Week conference. The head of the company creating the most powerful chips for artificial intelligence called this technology “the great equalizer”, radically transforming the accessibility of computing power.

“Historically, computing was complex and not accessible to everyone. We had to learn programming languages, design architecture, develop these incredibly complex computers,” noted Huang, speaking on stage together with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

“But now suddenly a new programming language has appeared. This language is called ‘human’,” he emphasized. Unlike traditional languages like C++ or Python, which only a few master, the “human” language is accessible to absolutely every one of us.

“The way to program a computer today to ask it to do something for you — write a program, create images, compose a poem — is simply to ask it politely,” explained Huang.

The most surprising thing, according to the NVIDIA head: “The way to program artificial intelligence is similar to how you teach a human.”
