Meta is beginning to create a specialized laboratory aimed at developing true superintelligence. Technology capable of performing most tasks at human level.

Mark Zuckerberg personally heads this project and is directly involved in specialist selection, conducting meetings with leading researchers and engineers in the field of artificial intelligence. The elite team will consist of approximately 50 people, including Scale AI founder Alexander Wang, which testifies to the seriousness of Meta’s intentions.

By the end of this year, the company plans to invest tens of billions of dollars in general artificial intelligence development. Because according to Bloomberg sources, Zuckerberg is seriously concerned about lagging behind competitors in the artificial intelligence sphere and intends to radically change the situation. After creating superintelligence, its integration into all company products is planned — from social networks to chatbot and “smart” Ray-Ban glasses.
