First Google Veo 3 advertisement shown to millions during NBA finals

Millions of NBA finals viewers witnessed a completely new stage in creative evolution. Fully computer algorithm-generated advertisement for betting platform Kalshi, created using Google Veo 3.

The surreal visual cocktail is captivating. An elderly man in a cowboy hat with a chihuahua in his arms, a strange character swimming in a pool with eggs, and an alien enjoying beer! These crazy images advertise the possibility of betting on the most diverse events. From basketball league winner to number of hurricanes and even egg prices.

Director PJ Accetturo revealed interesting details of the production process. The technology is this. First a script is created, then Gemini forms a list of shots with prompts for Veo 3, and you can’t request more than 5 prompts at once — quality drops sharply. And this is just 2-3 days of work for 1 person!

Creating 15 quality clips required 400 generation attempts costing $2000 total. Editing was performed in standard editors CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro. Most results turned out unusable. But the final product still cost 95% less than making advertisement the traditional way.
