Fiverr offers freelancers to clone themselves using AI

Fiverr, a leading freelance platform, announced the launch of a revolutionary initiative allowing professionals to train artificial intelligence based on their own works and automate future orders. The announcement was made on Tuesday during a special company event.

The central element of Fiverr’s new strategy is the “Personal AI Creation Model” program, which will allow freelancers in voice-over, graphic design, and related fields to create personalized AI models based on their work and monetize access to them.

“This is about making our freelancers indispensable, not obsolete,” said Fiverr CEO Micha Kaufman. “We developed these new features to ensure that content creators remain at the center of the creative economy.”

The initiative emerged amid serious challenges faced by the freelance market following the emergence of accessible generative AI technologies. Recent research has shown that tools such as image generators and ChatGPT from OpenAI have led to increased competition for fewer orders, especially among writers, programmers, and app developers.

According to an independent study examining freelance market trends over nine months, the process of replacing freelancers with AI technologies is only accelerating over time, and these jobs may not return.

Under Fiverr’s new system, freelancers will be able to:
– Create personal AI models based on their previous works
– Set prices for using their AI models
– Retain ownership rights to content generated by their models
– Monetize the creation of song lyrics, illustrations, marketing materials, and advertising designs

This initiative represents Fiverr’s attempt to find a balance between technological progress and protecting freelancers’ interests, providing them with tools to adapt to the changing labor market and new opportunities to monetize their creative potential.
