Google launches AI career consultant Career Dreamer

Google has introduced an experimental AI tool Career Dreamer, designed to help people explore career opportunities using artificial intelligence. The announcement was made in the company’s official blog on Wednesday.

Career Dreamer analyzes patterns between work experience, education, skills, and user interests to suggest suitable career trajectories. The tool allows users to create a personal career statement based on current and previous positions, competencies, experience, and education, which can be used in resumes or as a basis for interviews.

Career Dreamer’s distinctive feature is the visual representation of career opportunities in the form of an interactive network, where users can explore each direction in detail. The system also offers collaboration with AI assistant Gemini for creating cover letters and resumes, as well as searching for additional career ideas.

Unlike traditional services like Indeed and LinkedIn, Career Dreamer doesn’t provide access to current job openings. Instead, the tool focuses on exploring various career paths, eliminating the need for users to conduct multiple separate search queries.

Google references a World Economic Forum report, according to which:
– The average person changes 12 different jobs throughout their life
– Generation Z representatives are expected to change 18 jobs across six different career directions

The company notes that Career Dreamer is particularly useful for people with non-standard career paths, helping to create a cohesive narrative from diverse professional experience.

The launch of Career Dreamer reflects the growing trend of using AI for personalized career planning and demonstrates Google’s commitment to expanding the application of artificial intelligence in professional development.
