Teenagers on TikTok scare parents with fake AI vagrants

You know what’s considered a fun prank among teenagers now? Sending parents a photo of a homeless vagrant in their own living room. AI draws it, TikTok approves it, and let parents have hysteria. That’s the kind of fun going around social media.

The scheme is simple to the point of obscenity. A schoolkid takes a neural network, generates a picture with an unkempt stranger in the interior of their home, and sends it to mom and dad. Like, let a person stay overnight, fed them, gave them drink. And sometimes adds for greater effect that this so-called guest introduced themselves as their friend. Parents at this moment, naturally, are somewhere at work or on a business trip. And the circus begins.

Moms and dads at a distance don’t just call their mischievous offspring in panic. They call the police. And seriously call, with demands to immediately evict the stranger from their dwelling. And the police, as you understand, cannot know this is another viral trend. Law enforcement responds with full seriousness because according to their information there’s a potentially dangerous person in the house and a minor child there.

But these are still flowers. Representatives of law enforcement explain that in certain cases SWAT teams are deployed for such calls. Just think – SWAT teams go out to free a teenager from a non-existent person! In attempting to supposedly save a child from a stranger holding them, minors themselves can suffer from the actions of this very SWAT team. And while this whole team deals with the fake vagrant from the neural network, somewhere a real incident happens. Only law enforcement no longer makes it there because they’re busy with a prank from a bored schoolkid.

The very idea of such a prank, as police note, dehumanizes homeless people. Turns them into a scarecrow, into an object for mockery. Plus forces parents to make impulsive actions in a state of panic. There’s your innocent joke on TikTok. Which went so viral that law enforcement is forced to publicly call on teenagers to stop. They especially indulge in this in South Korea. Yeah. AI gave us the ability to create anything with one click. But youth decided to use this technology to drive parents to hysteria. And pull police SWAT teams from real calls. Is this even a joke???
