XPeng introduced world’s first female humanoid robot
Chinese electric car manufacturer XPeng introduced the new generation humanoid robot IRON. And this is the first female humanoid!
The company calls it “the most human-like humanoid robot”. At XPeng they state this is the world’s first robot with a fully solid-state battery. Gender and body type are customizable when ordering – the company showed a version with female body type.
IRON received a bionic “bone-muscle-skin” structure with flexible spine, synthetic muscles, soft skin all over the body and dexterous hands with 22 degrees of freedom. The robot is controlled by 3 Turing AI processors that operate based on a physical model of the real world. The system combines advanced vision, language and locomotion capabilities within a multi-brain AI architecture for dialogue, interaction and movement.
The Chinese automaker enters the humanoid robot market with an ambitious product that combines advanced AI technologies and latest batteries. They promise to launch mass production by the end of next year. Let’s see if IRON can compete with robots from Tesla and other players.
